Worst service I've had anywhere on Kauai. Our son ordered chicken strips and they took so long that we shared our food with him and all finished before his arrived...burnt! The server said the manager was drunk and wouldn't do more than take them back and not charge us for them. Also there were two different happy hour menus with different prices, oh and happy hour mail tai.. $10, no way! Avoid this dump.
The freshly made tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole were awesome. The fish tacos and blackened mahi were great (taste and generous portions). Mashed potatoes were homemade, and the fresh green beans were perfectly cooked.
The Ac was either not working properly or it was and the kitchen just sucked up all the cool air. It's very uncomfortable when we went there because of that. The food was pretty bad too. The burger bun you could tell was old because is was really dry. Fell apart before we even touched it. I eat out all the time and I can say this place is one to skip. For the bar scene and to catch a game, maybe...
Great food and service! There were at least 17 other customers dining while we were there for lunch, and Dienna was the only server. She was one of the most friendly, attentive, and pleasant servers we've ever had, and she never appeared stressed or rushed. She noticed every time our water glasses were near empty and filled them before they were empty.
Great burgers and laid back atmosphere. Prices were decent compared to other places around.
My boyfriend from Oahu comes to see me twice a month. He insists going to Ninth Island Bar & Grill. I enjoy the fish tacos.
