A can't miss, beautiful spot.
We did the hike at the end And were told we were ten minutes from the end by a couple of hikers. The day we went there, the valley was completely socked in. Couldn't see anything in the valley, but the view towards the canyon was gorgeous. The problem was that the hike at the end got muddy and looked like a vertical wall. We were told the last part was a scramble to the top of the ridge. So the first part was an easy walk, but the latter part became more difficult.
5-29-15, the clouds came in once we got here but still worth the drive. If it is Clear, you can see the Na Pali coast.
Eighteen miles in and yet we debated about coming out here. If you have kids who are falling asleep quickly, you may consider slipping this. If everything is good, make sure to come all the way out here. This was the most peaceful and gorgeous views of the lookouts, in my opinion. You could hear three ocean roaring miles below. We saw a pueo soaring shown below as it hunted for a meal.
