The attendant was very helpful. Selection was not checked as we didn't have a choice on boards, but it certainly wasn't a problem, and actually we wouldn't have had a clue on a different board type.
With so many beautiful rivers on the island, I'm sad we waited until our last day to get in and rent boards. Fern grotto is extra satisfying when you make it on your own. Skip the big green boat and earn that view! Super fair pricing for an all day rental and awesome staff (shout out to Darrin). This is a must for both beginners and veterans.

Great experience. My beau and I had never SUP and always wanted to. What better way to experience it than on the Wailau river. Shop was friendly and gave good instruction on how to SUP. They even loaded the truck! Would highly recommend
