The snorkel gear we rented worked incredibly well, including goggles with prescription lenses. Staff wasn't the friendliest but also wasn't outright rude.
The woman who helped us was very nice and helpful. We bought tickets to the Luao Kalamaku and rented snorkel gear for a week. She gave us boogie boards to use for free!
Rented 2 beach chairs and a boogie board from the kapaa store. Picking them up was great, with very friendly staff. Jamie and Jon I believe. When we returned them, we were greeted by another staff member who was not friendly at all and charged us 9 dollars for a late fee???? Didn't think that hours mattered with a weekly rental of chairs. His comment was that it's the same policy as a car rental place. There was more than a dozen chairs in the store - it's not the busy season. Give me a break. 25 bucks for a week for 2 chairs and you charge us 9 bucks for bringing it back "late"
