We've rented both kayaks and boogie boards here. Renting was simple and a good price. For exploring the Hanalei River the location is super convenient, since you can get right in.
We called in and they gave us a discount for the next day. When we arrived the guy processing the order said no discount and quoted us 15 dollars higher. I am not about getting ripped off. After some arguing he called and got it figured out. Our guide however was amazing and cool hence the 3 stars.
I took my daughter and two of her friends just before Christmas 2012. This was an EXCELLENT experience. If you go, ask for "AJ". For someone who hadn't lived in Kauai all his life I was impressed with how knowledgeable AJ was about the history, foliage, the river and the Falls. And he was a lot of fun - someone I would love to have stay with our family for as long as he wanted. Everything worked great. Had I known how challenging the canoeing was going to be for this I-haven't-exercised-in-a-while 55 year old I might have bailed. As it was it was a great opportunity to bond with my teenage daughter. This is a great company and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
We rented a Kayak, no tour. But they go over everything you need to know, how to get to the waterfall, do's & don'ts, all that good stuff. Very friendly & helpful staff! Awesome experience!!!
