Fabulous location with beautiful views of and access to the beach. Professional and helpful staff. The room was spacious, well kept, and packed with amenities. First floor rooms give you 2 sliding doors for access to outside.

We own a timeshare at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club and although this place cannot compare, it actually fit our needs perfectly. Our goal was to rest, relax and enjoy Kauai. Room 1302 was spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen. We brought our own food and prepared many dishes using ingredients from the Tuesday and Thursday Farmers Market at the nearby Coconut Marketplace. The hotel restaurant was pricey but excellent. A nice small bar (The Beachboy) next to pool, BBQ grills and jacuzzi. A few steps away is the beautiful east coast of Kauai where we relaxed upon the many beach recliners under the shady palm trees. The beaches are extremely narrow and drop sharply off into deep water so not good for a swim. Weather was a bit showery in the morning and perfect the rest of the day. Lots of sun and clouds every day kept the temperature perfect.

Can't beat the view from our balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful. You will be asked to attend a timeshare presentation, but it's low-key and low- pressure. My only problem is the resort is overdue for renovation and needs more comfortable furniture, but I hear it's coming soon. Still lovely though!

Definitely recommended as a beach resort to stay at while in Kauai.

The Hukilau Lanai at the Kauai Coast Resort reservations only for a reason they Rock Foods great. If you absolutely must attempt to eat without a reservation you can always eat at the bar I do. There's also a lovely pool bar out in the yard between the restaurant and the ocean. These folks go out of their way to source the ingredients locally.

The only issue experienced during this visit was a slow draining shower drain.

It is a nice resort. Small pool and hot tub for the number of rooms. Nice rooms, but has a hotel feel to the rooms. Good furniture, nice bed. Good front desk. Biggest problem was at check-in. They require you to speak to the timeshare sales people in order to get your parking pass and internet sign on. This is absurd. I had to wait in line and tell them 3 times that I did not want to do a timeshare presentation in order to get my parking pass. I would rate them 4 stars if not for this.
