It's just beautiful! The water is calm and the scenery cannot be beat! Restaurant is fantastic and easily accessible!

Could not have found a better place to stay on Kauai for location or amenities. My husband and I stayed in Coco B for eight nights. It was quiet, clean, and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided - literally. We took the kayaks down the river and hiked to Secret Falls, we made dinner at "home" every night, we went for bike rides on the beach cruisers along the paved path by the coast to Kapaa and beyond, and borrowed chairs, snorkeling gear and boogie boards to play at the beach. Having access to so many ways to explore and things to do included as part of staying here made this an amazing value. Lydgate Park (15 minute walk, 5 minute drive) was our favorite spot to swim and relax on the beach, and Kealia Beach had the best boogie boarding (15-20 drive depending on traffic, if we could have found a way to bike with a boogie board, we would have biked there instead). The location was pretty equidistant to beaches on the North and South shores, and super close to Kapaa, which was my favorite town hands down for shops and food. The guidebook included in the room was invaluable, and Paul also stopped by to give us some ideas of what to do while we were there. We've traveled quite a bit, and Fern Grotto Inn has so far been the best place we've ever stayed for value, comfort, and amenities. I want to both tell everyone to stay there and also keep it a secret so that it will be available when we decide to go back!

Our stay at Fern Grotto inn was amazing! We stayed in both coco A and Ohana house. Both places were impeccably stocked with necessities and the kitchens are actually set up for real cooking with all the right utensils and quality cooking knives. The location of the inn is perfect. it's really close to kapaa shops and restaurants, right by the beautiful Wailua river for kayaking trips and near some awesome kid-friendly beaches such as lydgate and lae nani. We stayed with our five year old daughter and were so happy to be able to borrow beach toys and beach umbrella from the inn. Paul was an excellent host, so respectful and accommodating. We wanted to move in to Ohana house, it has so much charm and felt like home. Wish we never had to leave...

Major construction going on to property. Skill saws, hammers, table saws. Ask for $100 food voucher for your inconvenience, Paul has given in the past. Far from Ohana and Hawaiian Spirit. The chickens were quieter than the workers.

Just there for the day. Very beautiful.
